This is the only five star " all suites " hotel ideally located in the center of Cairo overlooking the Nile. It occupies a large, stone building painted pale dusky pink. The lobby is medium sized and decorated in a pastel colour scheme with light brown marble flooring and covered pillars. There is an open staircase leading from reception to the restaurant, some shops and a casino. There is also a cafe area leading off from the lobby. Suites are furnished in a classical style, with rich red bedding, carpets and curtains. All have a large reception area including a living room and a dining corner. The hotel has several restaurants. Topkapi serves Turkish cuisine and offers live musical entertainment. Latino is an Italian & Mexican speciality restaurant with an extensive menu for lunch and dinner. Mawawil is an elegant Egyptian restaurant. There is also Jimmy's, an English pub with a very cosy atmosphere.
