The hotel is located on a relatively busy, but small road just five minutes from Buckingham Palace and St James Park tube station. And within easy walking distance of the houses of Parliament, Westminister Abbey and Victoria rail and tube station.

This hotel is steeped in history, built in 1897 when it provided exclusive services for visiting aristocrats and nobles. The hotel has an impressive facade in red brick with decorative stonework. An interesting feature of the hotel is that it is built round a private Courtyard, which has a central Fountain and attractive flower beds. Due to the hotel's age, the rooms vary a lot in size, but they are small on average. Some of the rooms have recently been renovated but the rest are nonetheless in very good condition, as are the bathrooms. The room's decor varies a little but generally the style is of a classic English hotel.
