The hotel was built at the turn of the century by the French Architect Charles Mews who had just completed the construction of the London Ritz. Commissioned, reputedly by Edward VII as a private residence for his mistress Lilly Langtry. The lobby is decorated with original hard wood panelling which gives the lobby and lounge area a warm, historic and traditional atmosphere.The rooms are modern in style, small, but in exceptional condition and benefit from an attractive pale beige decor. The simply decorated bathrooms are small and in good condition. This is a charming hotel offering a comfortable stay and excellent service.
