Hotel Josef is located in the city centre of Prague within walking distance from major tourist areas like Old Town square, Wenceslas Square, Charles Bridge and the Opera. The hotel is one of the first design hotels in Prague.

The hotel is housed in an impressive modern building with massive windows on the ground floor. Eva Jiricna's design is a thoroughly contemporary statement which builds on the great 20th century Czech tradition for modern design. The hotel lobby is large and open plan. On the far end is a large reception desk with a bar at the other end. The lobby is finished with white design furniture in an ultra modern style. There are 110 rooms (8 single, 25 twinbed and 77 double rooms). The rooms are sound proofed and mostly situated facing the courtyard. A large number of the rooms are for non-smoking guests. All rooms are very spacious and ultra modern. The rooms have no paintings on the wall but atmosphere is created by the bright colour schemes, mainly yellow and orange. The rooms are equipped with DVD/CD players and all other modern amenities. Bathrooms have either bath or shower and are in very good condition. The hotel does not have a restaurant but there is a breakfast room. Overall the hotel is very original, unique, stylish and modern - particularly attractive to guests looking for a designer hotel in a perfect central Prague location.
