What used to be an apartment building has been renovated and turned into the opulent and lavish MarQueen Hotel. It's centrally located, close to the Seattle Center and a host of fabulous restaurants in the Mercer Street area. It was built in 1918 and all of the rooms, with their 10-foot ceilings and hardwood floors, are beautifully decorated to reflect that period. It may be "Old World charm," but the MarQueen hasn't forgotten modern day conveniences: all rooms have high-speed internet access and full-menu room service. The rates are reasonable and the location is a nice change from the busy downtown core.
