The Argent hotel is a large hotel and you should expect the service to be a bit impersonal. There is an abundance of original artworks throughout the building including a lithograph by David Hockney near the elevator and a beautiful mural in the Jester’s Restaurant. Brochures describing the art are available for self led tours round the public areas.
For the energetic early riser, there’s a guided jog through the streets of San Francisco. The hotel also offers a business centre, fitness centre, and child friendly concierge service.
Bedrooms are decorated in warm colours, have full height windows (although lower floors obviously have limited views), three telephones and the usual array of facilities to be expected in a hotel of this class, including feather comforters and designer toiletries.
Dining is in Jester’s Restaurant and is American cuisine with French influences. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner for small or large parties, in the shade of beautiful hand painted murals.
Jester’s Lounge is an sophisticated jazz venue with comfy couches, a warm fire, and live music on a Friday night.
