Description: Clift Hotel
The Clift is an ultra trendy hotel who pride themselves on being hip and unique. Is evident on your arrival to the hotel where you will notice that there is no external signage on this Italian Renaissance style building. Subdued lighting and rich colours provide a warm and relaxed feeling on entering the lobby which is decorated in a way which will remind you of a modern art museum.
The standard rooms can be a bit small with very little space in the bathrooms but are tastefully and expensively decorated in light colours, custom made bedding and furniture and lots of silk, velvet and leather. Rooms have all that you can expect from a hotel of this standard and perhaps even a bit more; as standard in all rooms you can expect dual phone lines, DVD player, CD player and a high speed internet connection (although there is a charge for using this).
Part of the draw to The Clift is the Redwood Room which is legendary. With its walls lined with old giant redwoods, and it’s specially commissioned digital art this is the place to be seen, it’s the place the beautiful people go. To prove its popularity you just have to see the length of the queue at the weekend of young club goers.
The hotel restaurant specialises in an asian – latin fusion menu and makes no apology for being a glamorous venue.
