The Grand Hyatt Union Square is a modern hotel with 685 over 36 floors. The lobby is spacious in marble and wood and is home to the large team of concierge staff. Bedrooms are traditionally furnished with dark wooden furniture and neutral colour schemes and feature large windows; higher floors have spectacular views of the San Francisco skyline. Rooms are well equipped with portable and fixed phones featuring indicator lights for voicemail, mini bar, video account review, and the usual array of TV, hairdryer etc. There’s even a mini-TV in the bathroom!
Dining is in the Grandviews Restaurant, and as the name suggests, the restaurant is located on the 36th floor and offers amazing views over San Francisco. The food is of an American nature with a French flavour. Wines and cocktails can be taken in the adjacent Grandviews Lounge.
For a light breakfast or mid morning snack the Mezzanine Café overlooking the Asawa fountain is open until 11.30am.
