The hotel desing is inspired by the San Francisco art and literary salons of the 1920's and 30's. The intimate hotel lobby surrounds guests with period furnishings antiquarian books and an exceptional collection of exotic objects and original portraits and murals. The lobby bar and new Cafe is an enchanting blend of Californiaian and French bistro. The hotel rooms are decorated in Provencal colors complemented by local artwork and an above average modern amenities. The hotel has recently reopened after completing a substantial renovation.
