Probably one of the most well known hotels, the Westin St Francis has a traditional main building and a modern tower building attached to it. On entering the huge lobby you will be struck immediately by the glamour of the place. The famous clock where “couples met” is still there and you can now enjoy a drink while waiting there.
The rooms in the historic main building vary in size and shape due to the age of the building where the newer rooms in the tower are larger and you can expect a more modern, newer feel. Main building rooms are decorated in a classical style with chandeliers and ornate woodwork, whereas all the Tower rooms are in a contemporary style with large bay windows. Every room has a trademark ‘Heavenly Bed’ where you can expect a terrific night’s sleep on custom designed pillowtop mattresses and high quality white linens, and ‘Heavenly Bath’ with dual shower heads, luxurious towels and bath robes.
The Oak Room, in the main building, is the hotel’s main restaurant where you can eat a hearty breakfast and a relaxing dinner in the elegance of this oak paneled old library. In the Tower’s lobby you will find Caruso’s coffee bar where you can purchase pastries and paninis along with your drinks.
